CUSTOM PATTERN MAKING
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a professional designer
and seamstress to learn how to create custom fit garments of your own
design.
Students will learn the basic principles of creating and fitting
patterns through draping and some flat patterning. They will create a
basic bodice and skirt and learn how to modify these for many different
variations with the same custom fit.
Students must have completed Beginning Sewing I and II or have solid
sewing skills.
Your instructor, Susan Branch, holds an MFA in Costume Design from the
Yale School of Drama, and she has designed and created costumes for
over 100 professional productions nation wide.
